Droid < usb > PC ...hangs

I used to have no problem copying my entire SD card from droid port to Win7PC USB port. Now I goes for about five seconds, stops, then the connect button reappears on the droid. It's taken all afternoon and it's not even half done... what to do? I googled for an easy clue, nope.

Never mind... I changed the cable to the PC usb port I used to use and it did the rest in one swell foop. Sometimes I really hate technology.
