I thought "Droid" was short for Android but I'm learning that it's not. What is the difference? :dontknow:

Droid and Android are the same. You're thinking of the Motorola Droid phones from Verizon. :) They both run Android weather it's a Motorola Droid device or another device you see like the Samsung Galaxy S2.
