Just so you know, if you are talking about your Optimus running FroYo, then you'll be happy to hear things have changed. My SGS2 (last year's top model) records video in .mp4 format and plays fine on Windows 7 machines.

Sorry, I don't remember. I haven't used GB in months. It may also be part of the specific phone rom so you should ask in LG Optimus S - Android Forums to be sure.

Just get VLC media player on your her PC, its free and plays ANYTHING, even half downloaded broken files as it will fix them.

It does a great job of playing. But the converting to MP4 was botched; choppy audio, the whole thing ended too soon even though it took forever to convert.
