Droid vs Defy

[tmcmkiwi]

I am trying to decide whether to buy a Droid (first generation) or a Defy - is the Defy a better phone once you get past the ruggedness?

Just bought a defy recently.
The only obstacle is the system: it originally runs on Enclair (2.1)

2.2 was released for US version a few weeks ago. I had a original Droid, but returned "both" (replacement) due to poor reception in my area on Verizon. As much as I miss a physical keyboard (last keyboard phone was N900), I do love my Defy.

FWIW, I also had the LG2x...nice, but I prefer some of the Motoblur features/widgets over stock Android, and the whatever the Market has produced. Defy has better reception than G2x as well, and again, the main reason why I took it back.
