Droid Wallpapers?

I mean, it's kind of a strange resolution. Anyone know where you can find pictures of about that resolution?
 
Its super slow at work today so I'm gonna spend some time making wallpapers for the Droid. I'll post up a new thread sometime after lunch.
 
Most graphics programs, and there are some free ones out there, can chang the resolution of a picture to what ever you want. In some cases you need to crop the picture to a size close to what you want then resize it.

Also, if you look in the wallpaper section of this site, you are already seeing some nice papers folks are making in the correct size.
 
I've noticed that the wallpaper in the video reviews changes slightly with each "pane" on the home screen. It looks like the edges fade to black on the far most left and right. Is there any way to account for this when creating wallpapers? HTC Sense UI even looks like it did this as well.
 
Id like to have a background of the Droid eye. Maybe its included with the phone.

In most of the reviews Iv seen they change the background to brighter colors, I personally like dark backgrounds. I like the grey one that looks to come as the default.

I noticed that as well...here is my question:
The screen size is 480x854.

If I make a wallpaper that is 1440 x 854, will it shown that wallpaper in thirds so the first third is on home screen to the left, the second on the main home screen, and the last third is on the home screen to the right.

I was just thinking of how wallpapers work with dual monitors on a Windows machine.
 
Hmm thats a good point, maybe I better hold off before I make a million 480x854 sized backgrounds
 
The size you will want is 960x854.

The way the 3 "desktops" work is: the left desktop shows the entire left half of the image, the middle shows the middle half (minus a quarter on each side) and the right shows the right half. So it only needs to be twice as wide as the screen.

@Kamilli0n....hey awesome wallpapers...would you make one of the Golden Gate Bridge? I think I saw a nighttime picture of the city of SF and so I was hoping for a daytime bridge shot! :-)

So even on files that are the correct resolutions, like the ones from Kamilli0n, the Droid gives me a square to select which part of the picture I want to use.

How do you use the whole picture?
 
Are we sure they are the proper res? the stock photos on the Droid do not require resizing. None-the-less, I love the City-scape ones.
