Accessories Droid X with Body Glove Case...Pics Included.

Alright, here are some pics with the Body Glove case on my Droid X. I know this should be in the "accessories" section but there were people here that wanted to see it and I didn't want them to overlook it.

How much bulk does it add to the phone? I like the thin factor of the naked phone, and I have the BG case on my current phone...just seems to make it too thick, but then again, it's a thick phone to start!
 
Thanks for posting. Does it change the way it feels in your pocket as far as size in concerned? Is it plastic or a rubbery texture?
 
As far as the edges you need to remember the pics are real close up, they aren't really that noticeable at all and I'm more concerned with protecting the phone. It's a rubbery texture and doesn't seem to pull out of my pocket and harder. It adds a little bulk but nothing that is a hindrance or anything.
 
Excuse me for my ignorance.. especially since I've yet to see a DX in person.. but is the protective case also covering the USB and HDMI ports? I'm not sure if those are actual ports, or just their logos. If so.. that seems like a bit of a oversight in design to have to take off the protective case to access any of those ports.

No offense taken at all. I see it now. For some reason at first glance, I thought I only saw 1 port. I mistook the circled parts (below) to be the port covers. Guess this is what I get for browsing forums during work :o

I really like the rubber texture on the Body Glove cases, it makes the phone feel more secure in my hands.

My concern that with cases like this, when you drop them on their edge (pocket drop) they split open. That's happened to me twice.
 
Too ugly for my taste also. I'll check out what big red has on launch and then buy the Innocase II. I'm not as concerned with this phone as I was with the DINC as X has metal body and Gorilla Glass.
 
I don't care how it looks right now since it's the only rubberized case I could get at the time. It serves it purpose.
 
I'm not going to lie, Verizon is seriously raping anyone by charging $30 for what appears to be a sloppy nerf-like case...
 
Huge drawback to this case (or rather to motorola) is the motorola car mount says it can be used with case BUT motorola fails to tell you on verizon. Website that the car mount from motorola wont work with any case except "genuine Motorola protective case". So I need a different car mount or i have to remove case each time!!!

Confirmed - I found this out the hard way. I really like the case so I returned the car mount and picked up a universal mount instead. It's a shame though because the Moto car mount looks pretty sharp; I just couldn't see popping the case off every time I wanted to use it.

I've never known any car mount or desktop cradle that works with a case besides Seideo branded ones.
