Droid X

I'm locking myself in the basement for 5 years and getting the new Droid that outclasses my current desktop.

Ha ha ha...what are you using, a 486 cpu?:D

Someday these phones will be just as fast as our desktops and laptops I bet. But either way, the Droid X looks impressive. I just don't know if I can do without the physical keyboard. :D

I wasn't too fond about the keyboard when I bought the droid but now I kind of like having the option. I highly doubt I would need to, but I wonder if Verizon gives you 30 days to decide if you like a phone that you buy outright, and not renew your contract?

XD phones were as powerful as that when I was in high school. Heck, 5 years ago, phones at the equivalent processing power of my blender :P

Oh, and I use a i7 975 >.> I find it to be more durable in the long run than an overclocked 920

You have 30 days no matter what.

You can't run 4 920s together though. They don't have the right controller to be able to do so. Xeons are able to do this. Plus, if an app doesn't use more than 2 cores then not much you can use your 975 for aside pro tools and such. :D I really don't see anything impressive from this phone. Yeah specs are nice on it, but nothing groundbreaking from what's currently offered now.

I was talking strictly price on the 920's. Four of them is about one 975.

Even though there's nothing groundbreaking on the x, I see it as the droid I wanted from the start, only better. Yeah the evo has nice specs too but in my neck of the woods, Verizon is king.
