DroidIn vs. LinkedIn for Android

My older release of DroidIn has quit working. Before I simply upgrade it...

At one time the consensus was that DroidIn was a lot better than LinkedIn for Android. Is that still the case?
 
I still use DroidIn. Much simpler interface and does all that I need. The official app, like the website, is becoming increasingly cluttered with links to articles etc which I never read
