Help DroidLight on Incredible

I did a search but didn't see it, so sorry if this has already been answered, but will the Droidlight app work on the Incredible? Just wondering if the app is hardware specific or any android phone with an LED flash will work.

Thanks!

Shouldn't matter the hardware I believe it just recognizes that u have a flash option and goes from there. Now the Eris with no flash might be another story

For what it's worth, it didn't work on my friend's N1 . . . . my guess is that it doesn't work on HTC phones, but maybe it'll work on other Android phones (other than the Moto Droid).

It'll probably won't work at all in Austin... I'm sure College Station will have no problems. ;)

There seem to be 30 or more flashlight apps in the store, hopefully at least one will work for us.

Gig 'Em!

Since Austin has lights, I probably won't need it. College Station's jars of fireflies means you would need it more :D

Hopefully by the time I get mine (I HOPE on Thursday) the early birds will have figured it out for us.

Hook 'em!

[I wondered how long it would be before SOMEONE commented on my user name]

I just went to try it on the demo incredible i'm using and it doesn't. It isn't a matter of whether or not you have a led light or not, it's motorola being a bunch of jerks so it's only supported on the droid, milestone, and droidx right now. The droidlight is made by Motorola Inc, so you're better off looking for a replacement.

You were really pulling out an oldie here. 3 months between replies.

I believe Froyo update comes with a flashlight app/widget for the Incredible.

Sorry, was searching around since I was looking to resolve the same thing. No one had posted about it being made by Motorola and that's a function i use daily on my moto droid so I thought I would provide my input.

Incredilight is the only one that works with out root I do remember however that it would lock my phone up each time I used and took my phone a couple minutes to recover. Just root , and install lamppu it has a killer one click flashlight widget
