Did anyone experience that?
I tried to take with 1080p video, and I noticed there is a serious fps dropping while it auto-focus..

Please refer to the video I posted in youtube. The first video, the average fps is only 21fps. There is only 14fps in those lag moment...

Does it only happens on 1080p mode? Or it just happen no matter what when you are in a dark area?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you are right , it drops in both 720p and 1080p when in dark conditions but it happens with most of the devices including the galaxy s i9000 as the bitrate at which videos are recorded is variable i.e. it keeps on changing as per the processor load.If , however, you want to improve the performance of the camera head over to xda forums and in galaxy s I9100 android development thread search for a hacked camera app by potatoman. In that thread there is a link for a hacked camera app by hx also .Use any 1 of the two frame rate drop will slightly reduce and there are treat of high bitrate recording for both audio and video.
Njoy!!!
