Drop phone yet?

Anyone drop their phone, with a case on it? The reason I ask is because I heard a few people drop these and the back glass still crack. Got my eyes on the s7, but concerned about this.

Not dropped it yet, but I charged it and got a hairline crack in the back due to over heating. Phone is only 4 days old

If overheating actually caused the glass to weaken and crack, it must have got extremely hot. Was it like far too hot to touch, and possibly not smelling too good either?

It was very hot which I found very scary. Its only the faintest of cracks, and you can clearly see there is no other damage to the phone

I dropped my Edge into gravel driveway from 2', with case and screen protector. No insurance, until now have never needed it. Just under $600 repair. In 15 years ofcell phone never once had insurance. Do not get an Edge, if you do get insurance!

I would have no problem getting the straight S7, my mistake.

I haven't dropped mine, but I did have a nightmare about dropping it, in the dream the screen was all cracked to smithereens.

Ever since then I've been clutching it very carefully.

If you are afraid of your mobile, you can get a Lovemei case. I have bought one for my mobile, a Xiaomi Note Pro, and after that I just don't fear for nothing!

I have the S7 Active. So, it practically comes with a case and a different type of Gorilla Glass 4. I did drop it from a sitting position on a tiny pebble material porch while waiting on my case but it didn't even scuff the actual phone anywhere on it.

Nonetheless, I still put a nice, overall clear case (TPU + Rubber stops and strips at impact points and rubber pads corners and to show my factory camo pattern) with perfect bump stops and is raised just enough to stop a face flat drop from having the screen touch the ground.

And I still put a screen protector on it, out of habit.

I feel like this is the best for my phone.

You guys should check out hybrid cases. Check out Obliq. Beautiful cases that will protect your phone. I have had them on n my S4 and S5, and they've not been hurt. These aren't hybrids that pop apart when they fall, either.

Say what, Noney2?

This obviously should never happen. Did you sleep on it while charging? Even then, it shouldn't happen.

That's something totally defective, obviously. Mine doesn't even get all that warm while gaming and fast charging.

Dropped it from pocket..

Slight scratches on bottom of the phone and visible line on the bottom of the glass

Disappointed with the glass scratch.. what kind of gorilla crap they claim ???

Nope I put it on the carpet next to my bed. Even today on charge it got banging hot still. Samsung have said this is something their phones will never do. Clearly trying to pull a fast one

Mine gets real hot, so hot I have to put it down whenever there is a large update. It is a concern of mine.
I have yet to drop mine and I don't have a case. I'm just real careful. Haven't used a case in years and I have 4 other former phones that still look brand new.

Bit like that one iv had since release day. Original screen, the chrome worn away as the phone was used. But in veryint condition. I believe in taking care of your things and they will last.

2 of the smallest marks, and iv never had a case or screen protection on it. Just shows the old phones build quality is a lot better

I can recommend the cases from Gear4, especially the ones with military grade D3O material, its a special material that soft & flexible but locks on shock and than returns to its original state, this way the phone in the case can survive falls from 3 meters/9 feet. For some reason their website does not hold the S7.
