dropbox removes line breaks?

I've noticed an odd problem with Dropbox. I have a text file that I use to store my todo list. Each item is on a separate line. I have the file in my dropbox folder so I can view it anywhere. When I view it on my phone, it's all fine. The file displays like you'd expect. But when it syncs to my computer the line breaks have been removed, making it very hard to read. is there a way to prevent this?

Assuming you view it with notepad.
Open the file, click View and check Wordwrap.

Dropbox won't modify any files. What you are seeing is a difference in the way various text editors handle <CR> and <LF>.

Try what the Hatter suggests and you might also try a different text editor, or change the setting for how it handles line feeds.
