Help Dropped calls.

I have a really annoying problem on my SGS2.
The phone ends cals by itself randomly. It is a pain in the ass when I have been on hold for 10min and then I am the next in line and CLICK! I want to throw the phone into the wall when that happens.
Or when I need to call my friend back 7 times during a conversation.

Anyone else have this problem?
 
Happens to me too, generally once every 10 minutes on the phone.

Others have said that it's something to do with the certain versions if the phones modem and how it reacts in a lower signal environment.
I've just updated to the leaked KG3 firmware, I'll let you know how if it makes a difference!
 
I have not had a simgle dropped call yet. So far its very stable. Spoke over 2 hrs continuously today no problems.

No such thing on my mobile. I bought it the first week when it came out in amazon Uk. Everything with calling, call volume, sounds and etc is fine.

Read around the forum, I'm sure there will be other threads where they might have posted solutions to your problem.
 
I checked around, couldn't find anything. Maybe I should change the modem kernel.

Is it possible to change the modem kernel without flashing to the corresponding FW?
I come from a maemo phone so new to Android modding.
I don't want to flash yet, since they are releasing many new FW at a time now it seems, and don't want to change all the time.

Still using KE7.
 
My Galaxy S2 drops calls as well. It is extremely annoying.
Coming from Nokia world I never expected that I would be solving problems with such a basic functionality on a high-end android phone! (my drops calls, sometime restarts, does not connect to the hands-free in my car very well, ...)
 
im curious to know of those of you having dropped calls how many are using their sim cards from their previous phones


im starting to wonder if thats why im having issues as well perhaps we need newer ones
