dropped droid, now screen clicks...

Unfortunately I dropped my Droid the other day and now the top left area of my screen has a noticeable click or gap to it. I remember a thread where someone used electrical tape to fill that gap. Just wondering what the rest of y'all have done and what the best solution is.

Left it as is. Unless you have insurance, there really is not much you can do. All of these phones eventually will click. You just have to get over it. It's not like the phone is going to fall apart. It's the nature of having the thinnest slide out keyboard and the top and bottom not being flush to each other. There will be clicking!

I have insurance but I agree with you, ill o ly exchange when something breaks. Small price to pay for a naked Droid I guess.

My droid is naked. I dropped it twice already screen does have a small click in one spot. Screen is fine but the surrounding metal has some scratches.

I'm WAY too OCD to walk around with a phone with scratches. I have 3 screen protectors and duct tape all over the phone now. ;)

See, children, this is why we must be VERY careful with how we handle our phones!

I have read countless threads with people wondering,

I dropped mine and noticed the gap after too. But some people that haven't dropped their phone also have it. I guess we just have to live with it. Overall the build quality is really solid, short of the buttons on the sides. It's a nice heavy brick. I'm happy.

I use a Seidio Innocase now. The "click" and gap is pretty much gone b/c of the case. It adds at most 2mm to the size and I love the flat black soft touch coating. Bye Bye shiny black bezel. Yes. Me no like shiny.
