Dropped Galaxy Ace on ground...damage??

Hi everyone...I just got my Galaxy Ace not a week ago. I'm always careful with phones but today I bumped my hand and the phone dropped hard onto the hard floor. I picked it up and the screen was blank and the two little buttons on the bottom were lit up.

Basically the phone was frozen so I popped the battery out. After it booted up it appeared to work alright...but the GPS wasn't working. It couldn't seem to get a proper signal...then when it did it couldn't hold the signal and was very inaccurate.
I went out for a drive and after 25 minutes it eventually started to work again. At the beginning after the drop it kept searching for a signal....

It seem to be working now but it was kinda messed up there for awhile. So did I screw the phone up you think?

Congrats on the new Ace. I'm sorry you've experienced an accident with it. That sounds like my luck. There is no telling if it was damaged beyond just keeping an eye on it for a while. I would guess all is fine if it's working now. Only time will be the true test. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the good wishes...I got the Ace used for a really good price. Its almost new looking. Sometimes when you are too careful things happen lol. I know it's an old phone now and would like something newer but it really does everything I want it to do and it has pretty minimal lag. I'm happy with it....like you said just gotta keep an eye on it for now.

Funny, I dropped my LG many times and it never froze up like that. Scared the crap out of me. I went through a lot of BS to get this phone.
