help, dropped s6 in water for about 2 seconds. when i plug in to charge it displays white triangle with a red thermometer in it. what does this mean and what should my next steps be? thanks
jj

Plugging it in to charge is the absolute wrong thing to do.
It is probably too late now, but the proper thing to do would be to remove battery if possible, but get it turned off.
Then it would need to be thoroughly cleansed and dried.
Instructions can be found elsewhere on the forum, but it usually consists of an alcohol rinse of the insides
followed by sealing in a bag with a desiccant ( raw rice works ) for several days to a week.
Only then should any power be applied.
Even then there is no guarantee of revival.

yep, will 3rd the advise....

once any electronic device has gotten wet, the only safe thing to do is jerk the battery, and get it dried out completely.

the best way, and one you might be able to use yet, is to put the phone in a vacuum and pull it down to 26 inches of mercury and hold it there for 3 to 6 hours. the longer the better. if possible remove the back and battery and SIM, anything that can be removed, should be removed.

usually though, when you try to power up something is still wet, it will short circuit things that should not be, and fry the sensitive components.

Unfortunately, the S6 is sealed ie no removable battery and I'm told it's quite a job to open up

Unless that thing is hermetically sealed, it MUST be opened, flushed, and dried.
