Help dropped my phone in tub.

So yesterday i dropped my s4 in the tub. My immediate reaction was disbelief and then instant terror. i quickly reached in and grabbed my child from the depths. I took apart the phone and dried it off and turned it back on everything worked and i was relieved. Then about 20 mins later it just went dead. The screen had a bunch of vertical colored lines on it and is unresponsive to anything i do. Now my question is thus i received a replacement phone and sent my old one in. i was unable to wipe the memory because when plugging it into several computers nothing popped up. The device wasn't recognized by anything. I have apps on that phone that link to my bank account and paypal my worry is if they fix it will some one else be able to access those apps and screw me over by stealing my money. Just not sure what to do

To be safe, I'd change passwords for everything and order a new debit/credit card.
It's probably cool but better safe than sorry I'd say.
Was the phone password/pin locked?

I'd assume it's safe then. If anyone manages to revive the phone with data intact then the pattern lock should also be intact (they would have to factory wipe the phone to remove the pin) so I'd just do whatever course of action you'd do if you had lost the phone (at most)
