Root DSP Manager

Hey all here's the story:
I have my Transform Ultra and also about a month ago bought a Asus Transformer TF101 tablet from amazon. i almost immediately flashed over a dedicated version of CyanogenMod 9 aptly named Megatron, the same name of the amazing rom i have on my phone. One of the features that the tablet's rom has with it is an apk called DSP Manager which is an audio equalizer designed specifically for the CyanogenMod project. I have been mesisng around with the apk on my TU here and there and had an issue with the audio crackling when i navigated anywhere on the phone. after doing some toying around i noticed that the crackling was actually related to tweaks i was messing with in the cpu settings. after messing with the cpu a simple reboot fixed the crackles.

In any case i'm back at DSP Manager on my TU and so far the compression and bass boost features work fine but i still get force closes from it when i run the equalizer setting and the room settings. My question is, has any of the fine developers out there ever considered recompiling this app for the TU or any roms built for the TU, or if its even possible? I haven't had the luxury of learning anything development-wise for android yet aside form moving apks in and out of system/app and some tweaking of things here and there so i don't think i'm ready to undertake a project like this but i can mess with it if someone would be willing to point me in the right direction.

idk, i might just be chasing dreams but what do you all think?
