Dual core or quad core?

I am due for an upgrade sept 7 and will be getting the SGS3. With all the research I did before deciding to get this phone, I noticed the Euro Version has a quad core but the one verizon is advertising for U.S. has a dual core processor. I am wondering why we don't have a choice between a DC or a QC cpu?

Anyone know? Just curious

The quad core isn't compatible with the LTE radio. I think all LTE phones (or virtually all) are using the Qualcolm Snapdragon processor. The US/LTE phones will have a dual core, 1.5 ghz Snapdragon processor.

International version has quad core Exynos with 1GB RAM, US version has dual core Snapdragon S4 with 2GB RAM. Personally if I had to choose between the two, I'd get the US version (which I am). You'll make a lot more use out of the extra RAM than you will with the two cores.

Also, it's not just Verizon but all the US carriers that will have SGS3's sporting the S4.
