Dual cores

Do you feel threatened by dual cores?

Personally, I feel the size of a mobile phone is its biggest limiting factor. Also, there's only "that much" you can do with its small screen

So, what exactly are dual cores meant to do that the current ones can't? What about power consumption?

Would love to hear some sound reasoning.

Obviously the speed of the handsets should improve quite a bit, but like you say for that you will probably get a drop in battery life.
Other than smoother faster running/opening of apps/games and better multi tasking, and of course being able to say 'mines bigger than yours' I don't really see much benefit to dual core handsets.

The only other thing I can think of is it may help developers create better apps and games, but then it could hinder this also. For the average consumer, I don't see much need for dual core handsets.
