Help Dual Email Notifications

So I have my Gmail and my Hotmail account setup in the default stock mail app and I get dual notifications (one right after the other) when I get a new email. In the email list, it lists the email address it came from and the subject line twice, although it only appears as one message.

Any ideas what I might have setup wrong?

Wow, this sub forum sure doesn't do well response wise huh? LOL...

Oh well, I decided to stop using the stock email app because I simply could not stop the dual notifications, no matter what I did.

I am now using the GMail app for my GMail account and I downloaded the Hotmail app for my Hotmail account. Not quite as tidy, but now no more dual notifications.
