Dual Sim or Single and Will it work with AT&T?

Are you guys that have these so in America getting the dual sim or a single sim version?
The specs on the phone I ordered were dual sim, but that seems to be the only spec different on the canadian version. So I assume it should still work with AT&T. Anyone have one they can check?

This is the first I've heard of the single sim option. I have the US version, and it has two sim slots. I've been using it on AT&T for a month now with no issues. I get 26Mbps download, 6Mbps upload. I'm in SE Virginia, so ymmv depending on your location.
 
I believe there's only one global version of the S60, and it's dual-SIM.

CAT phones are often sold at airport and airline duty-free, and are basically intended to work anywhere you might go.

When Cnet tested it they had a single version of the phone. The No2 SIM is blocked by a glued yellow cover. In the test they do not state that it is Dual Sim.

I have read somwhere that this is made by the carrier like Verizon but I cant find that statement again. Maybe this is only when you by it through a carrier in the US?
 
Hopefully this is just an error on the US site. I have seen some specs show its good for up to 200GB as well.

That yellow cover in the picture is a placeholder for the SD card. The second SIM slot is the slot/teeth that are directly below the yellow cover in the picture. SIM #2 goes under the SD card.

So, when I got my first CAT S60, I remember seeing the options to choose between the two SIM cards. Then I had a problem with the FLIR sensor, so I had to send that phone back and they sent me a replacement.

Now that I'm looking through my phone, I can't find any settings that reference the second SIM card. Perhaps they removed the functionality between Phone #1 and Phone #2, I don't know.

Can someone with the international version of the phone, chime in and tell me where in the menu I should be looking for the settings between the two SIMs?

The US version "has" 2 sim slots but slot 2 is in-operable, at least on mine and it also uses different bands than than the dual sim version. To my knowledge slot 2 is software disables due to the bands used.

There is an international, and a US version. So yes only 1 global version.

There was no blocker in mine when I received it. But as stated above it does not work.

It is single sim, for the Micro SD it is common to list 128 but any correctly formatted microSD high capacity should work. I only have a 64gb at this moment to test with as I sold my 200, or was it 256? I don't remember right now.

It is directly onder the SIM cards menu.

You are right that the yellow is the SD card but in a review somewhere in Youtube the guy said that the second Simcard had something glued in it so it was not accessable. Cant find it though.....

This is a common practice. It is cheaper to keep the same hardware and add a few lines of code in the kernel to disable the hardware.

Some resellers might insert the blocker to stop confusion. HTC has done it from factory before, and I have seen some resellers like Clove do it also. Our batches, since they are first may not have them since they were in such a rush to get them out, but later ones may include the blocker and possibly some of the review units had them to stop reviewers for saying something is broken when it is not.

Okay, so "SIM Cards" is an entry on the main settings menu then?

My original S60 definitely had that option. And in the messanging app, every text message indicated which SIM it was received from. I guess that they took that out of the US version before I received my replacement phone. My first S60 had Android 6.0.0 installed on it when I got it. The replacement already had 6.0.1 straight out of the box.

It's not a huge deal to me because where I live there's no need for dual-sim, but if I was travelling overseas it would have been nice to have.
 
In Croatia, with Tmobile, you can't use second sim card on Cat. Not sure for others.
I was happy when I find out that Cat s60 comes with dual sim and very disappointed when Tmobile said that second sim is inoperable.
 
Update: The Canadian version I received does not work with the 2 sim cards at the same time. I had to remove my Canadian sim to put the AT&T sim in slot 1 to get it to work on AT&T. Then my Canadian carrier no longer worked with this sim in slot 2. This is very disappointing since dual-sim was a big part of why I bought this phone. On another note. I couldn't get reception along the Hana highway in Maui, where AT&T says the have 4g base on the coverage map. Does anyone know what bands they use there or do they just over estimate the coverage area?
 
I guess the big question that I have is why would the North American version have the second SIM slot disabled? I'm genuinely curious as to the reasoning behind it.
 
My S60 also had the 2nd sim disabled. CAT support said the phone had to be replaced to get sim 2 to work. Took it to the local agents and they did software upgrade and now it works.
