Help dual sim

reader

Well-Known Member
hello!

I want a dual sim phone to do this: I want to have a sim that all the data will be downloaded from that sim, and another sim where all the rest functions, eg phone calls, sms, etc will be send via that sim

is this possible? how?

thanks!

Depends on the phone model perhaps. Samsung Dual-Sim phones have this in the settings. You can choose which SIM is used for data connection. Then both SIM cards can be used to send/receive messages and calls at the same time (dual standby). You just have 2 call buttons on the dialer (one for each SIM), and 2 send buttons in the Messaging app (again one for each SIM). Just press the call/send button for the SIM you want to use.

I want to know if the ability to choose specific SIM for data is inherited in Android, so all dual sim android phones will have it, or it is specific to devices

dual standby is a Samsung marketing term. Like how AirDrop is essentially Bluetooth for Apple

are you sure? because gsmarena mentions it in many different brand phones

so dual standby is active dual sim? and can use a dedicated sim for my data?
