Help Dumb bluetooth question?

I use a blueant bluetooth speaker in my truck, and it seems to work good with 2.1, but the problem I have is how do I switch by to the phone's ear piece during a call. I can figure out how switch to the phones speaker phone, but not too the ear piece. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
