i wasn'r sure which forum to post this question since it is a rooting question, but not specific to any phone.
I've read a lot about flashing ROM's and flashing Kernels. I don't understand what the difference is, or whet one does vs the other. I know I flashed a ROM, but have no idea if I flashed a kernel or if I even need to do so.
I think I successfully rooted my LG Marquee, The specs on my phone right now are:
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: LG855ZV4-M6600A-SCAUTSZ-3.0.40t
kernel Version: 2.6.35.14-HYPER.v2.0 BD@SS #5
Build number: CTMod 3.68
SW Version: LG855ZVC
Am I where I'm supposed to be? Is there something else I need to do? Thanks in advance, as I an very new to all of this.
