Root Dumps of H631 6.0 update

As shown in the video, this is normal. Let the program run still and look at your phone.

Thanks for making the video as it surly will help others. But I wanted to tell you that you really should have the back cover on your device when flashing the kdz via the LG flash tool. I say this cause I am not sure if the USB cable being plugged in is able to power the device if the battery comes out accidentally. And if the device loses power at the wrong time while using the LG flash tool like when the bootloader or radio is being flashed it will hard brick the device. The same dangers apply for maintaining a connection with your USB cable while using the LG flash tool.

@TMacgnolia , i know you found a working root for MM using linux, and they have Xposed too, but is there a TWRP that will work yet?

And i was wondering, if I made a written tutorial explaining how a Metro user could update to MM, would anyone mind and who all should i mention in my thanks @TMacgnolia , @RonnieMatson, @DrakenFX

As @Blu8 posted the one we have which is the one in the OP of the root thread works great. As far as the guide mention whovyou feel deserves credit. In the guide.

I felt a face palm comin on right after i posted the question about the TWRP. Lol. Sorry guys. Its not a new device, just a new build.

Are you asking is there a TWRP 3.0.0-0 for the Stylo? If so then no, it is going to take a kernel dev to make a kernel that will work with the lastes version of TWRP. I have tried and tried and tried. But I can only get it to boot to the screen that asks if you want TWRP to mount the system as read and write. But the touch input does not work. And Dees-Troy told me it is a kernel issue as I have tried everything else. I even tried extracting the kernel from the 6.0 update and using all the updated init scripts but still the same result.

I was just wondering if I could use the same Twrp on MM with root. The one weve been using. As for the tutorial, it will be my first, and i must say im slightly nervous lol.

Cry your pardon, and beg your indulgence, but could one of you fabulous people point me in the direction of the least painful way to update my Lg G Stylo to 6.0 and root it? Currently it is rooted, and running Katana. I understand a little backtracking and tweaking is in order, but well...I'm just really lazy and would rather follow the instructions of one who is much more experienced than I. Thank you in advance.

This seems to be the quickest:

Hey guys, just got my stylo back from lg. I am on MM 6.0 and boost mobile. I hope someone can tell me how to get twrp and root from here. I have browsed through alot of stuff and can"t seem to put together a starting point. Could someone please help?

You can't sorry, nothing more than temp root for boost and I've seen people brick just from that, which would mean sending it in to LG again. No TWRP because of locked bootloader too, sorry mate.

No one mentioned that it helps finish the flash if you leave the error notification for the server error alone...
I botched it twice by closing the error..or at least it seemed like it...
I know this is months later...but.if anyone has yet to get past that one part ..
Fight the urge to close the error..
