My contacts list seems to be displaying certain contacts multiple times. I thought it was a simple case of contacts from different sources, but the duplicates are from the same source. They won't merge, either, and deleting one of them deletes both. It's driving me a little nuts. Can anyone help?

Try turning off syncing for your Contacts (temporarily) on your phone -- in Settings >> Accounts >> 'your mail service' >> Sync Contacts. Delete the problem entries on your phone, making sure to leave those online contact entries as is, and then turn syncing back on. Fingers crossed when your phone and online source re-sync those duplicates won't reappear.
