I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace. The guy in the shop moved all my contacts on my old phone to my sim. I have moved them from sim to phone, so that I could get longer names and more information.
When I click on the contacts icon and scroll down, there is no problem and I can see all my individual contacts.
However, when I go to create an SMS message, and go to my contacts from there, I get duplicates everywhere.
When I select <contacts><menu><accounts> i can see the following:-
Background Data Sync is switched ON (although I have no idea what this is for)
Auto Sync is OFF
In Manage Accounts, I can see my GMail account
I DO NOT want to sync my GMail contacts with my phone.
