Help Duplicate Texts?

I got my Sidekick 4g 5 days ago, and everything is working perfectly! except the text messages... I receive 10+ text messages from everyone i text everyday. Sometimes it works fine, but most of the time i am getting duplicates. I've researched this a lot and couldn't find anything. Can anyone help?

Had exact same problem. Tech support suggests a Factory Reset (which wipes all data - DO NOT try this)

Instead, I set my TXT app to Confirm Receipt of all text messages sent. This seems to greatly cut down the number of duplicates. Also it seems to be a 2G/2.5G problem as when i am in 3G/4G areas the problem stops. are you in a 2G/2.5G (EDGE) area??

At least you arent getting them hours late. It could be worse

what SMS handler are you using? i recommend using chomp sms. i get NO duplicates EVER unless the person sending me texts is using handcent SMS

I think the problem also is a 2g/2.5G issue. I never had dups when i was in a 4G/3G area. I have had problems from stock app and GeekSMS.
