Duplicated icons in app drawer

Noticed new page in app drawer with duplicate icons of other installed apps, quick google didn't help much. Any ideas how to delete 'em? CM11 with Apex Launcher on GT I9300.

I use Nova Launcher Prime and not Apex.

In Nova Launcher Prime this is a standard feature. You can have multiple pages with icons pointing to the same app and you can also hide the icons on any (or all) of the pages.

I ASSUME Apex allows the same thing.

With Apex, you have the ability to add folders or groups to the app drawer. Either can contain duplicates. Which ones do you want to remove?

Had two app drawer pages incl. folders, the eleven dupe icons on new third page are from apps in folders as well as app drawer. Second page is still only half full. Can't delete icons in Apex drawer, just add to homepage. Tried the stock Trebuchet launcher and no dupe icons in drawer. I'm wondering if it's something to do with app updates. Reckon I'll reinstall Apex.

Under backup and restore in the Apex settings you can reset to default, which should reset your app drawer. You might want to back up your settings first, though.

Sorry late reply. Tried deleting data in Apex, also reinstalled, still getting the same duplicates (seems to occur after I've created folders). Anyhoo, switched to Nova, which has improved since I last tried it, and everything hunky dory. Thanks for replies.

I had that same problem and just figured it out after reading this thread.

A Fix: apex settings > drawer settings > show secondary apps tab (unchecked this).

What makes an app secondary vs primary has me baffled at this point.

I use apex Launcher pro and had the same problem.
I solved it by going to the app drawer, push the three dots in the top right corner of the screen, choose "manage drawer" and remove everything except widgets and apps. (i also removed widgets, but that is just me).

Problem solved!
