During Setup--wifi wont load

I did a factory reset on my friends phone. The original problem was that there was an error message when trying to connect to wifi. The system never even went to search mode.

Now that I have done the factory reset, the problem is during setup process. I am not able to get past the wifi setup portion since it shows an error.

I am very very new to the android arena.

Is there anything that I can do to get the phone up and running?

I would recommend you load the SBF. What the SBF does is flash the stock software/firmware again in case there is ever a problem. Usually root users use it to fix something when they screw something up or just need to get back to stock. But it can fix stock units that go haywire.

Thank you, I have made several attempts to find the file needed. 1.2.6. The link that you sent show works but the link to the file does not. Is there another source for the file? I have done an internet check and so far found none that allow to be downloaded.
