Root DX noob wants recs please

Hi! I'm late to the DX game and just got one but heard great things about it. I'm on the .605 update and getting ready to root. I've only done this once before on my old LG Ally and flashed a ROM so I'm not a total noob and your one click method looks way easier than the one I used. But I'm wondering which ROM to try out. I want something stable and fast but customizable and with a working camera (gotta be able to get pics of the kiddos on the fly). I hear everyone talk about CM7 and MIUI and I'm just wondering what the big deal is? Why are they so great? And are they better than some of your other ROMs like Apex and Vortex, etc? I didn't have quite so many options before so I'm a bit confuzzled.

its really hard to say man everyone has their favs.

For me personally i like CM7GB and SSX2.2

however those may not be the best if you want a really stable camera. Personally i think the camera in the DX stinks no matter what roM your on even if your stock.

I'm sure some more people will chime in soon.

Try apex or liberty for stock like feel

Sensei-Mod v3 is a good fit, considering it is based right off of .602 base... but you need to be on .602 for it... if you want to SBF to .602 follow my guide on the main root thread page.
