So has it happened with the new 0.9x versions? gzilla and RocketJSquirrel, have you updated to the new versions? Maybe the new merged DAmail and K9 version has changed so many things that the bug has been superseded...

Independently of the account deleting bug, it's fantastic how the guys are improving the email client and at what speed! A BIG thank you to all developers :)

Cheers,

I have not updated to any version of K-9 beyond 0.22, and even that version has been uninstalled. Two reasons: I haven't seen newer versions on The Market, and I'm tired of the futility, so I'm not motivated to go to the developer's site and get it.

My current strategy is to wait for an update that claims the deletealiciousness is fixed/workarounded. The developers know about it, and it seems they're working on the best approach. Shouldn't be long...

I've been running K9 0.93 since its release last week with no problems, but it seems pretty clear from the dev issue-tracking site that the bug hasn't been fixed/worked-around yet. I've been avoiding rebooting the phone since that was reported as one of the suspected ways to hit the bug. I'm still waiting for the release with a fix for this, but as stated before, the K9/DAMail feature set is so much better than the stock email app, which is basically unusable for me, that I'm willing to risk losing my configured accounts periodically to have an otherwise pleasant email experience.

it seems as though everyone is trying to add multiple email accts with different apps....I just wanted to add that this also continuously happens to me just using the stock Email app when I add my 1 Yahoo acct.
