E mail domains and e mail hosting

My husband has a droid and is getting his own e mail domain.... Likely with go daddy. Does anyone use go daddy for their e mail hosting and calendar/contacts syncing? If not, what do you recommend that works best with a droid. He doesn't really want to use google given all the security issues there. I have all mac products so I'm not much of a help for him. He currently has a galaxy nexus but will be getting an s3.

My wife's business uses a domain from GoDaddy for email and a website. No problems.

We use Google for syncing contacts and calendars. No problems. Very capable and handy.

What's wrong with Google security? Seems as secure as anyone else.

I agree with Crashdamage. But will add....

Go Daddy is what I use for domain purchases. But I host with another less expensive hosting service. GoDaddy hosting is expensive and a lot of what other hosting services give you for free is an addon cost at GoDaddy. I suggest JustHost for hosting the domain once it is purchased.

Calendar/Contacts through google allows you the widest variety of syncing and ability to import and export.
