e-mail search question

In 2.3, can you search e-mail by subject or sender?

Personally I use K9-Mail on my phone and tablet. In this app you can sort, but not search. Not sure about the stock email app. The gmail one supports searching, but it does this as a whole, rather than let you filter the results returned. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks. But I am referring to regular e-mail app with e-mails hosted on exchange or POP etc.. Not google or gmail.

Nobody else searches for e-mails on their android phone?!? Can you search or list e-mails from same sender as a particular e-mail, or search for e-mails with same subject?
