Help E-mailing pictures

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S3. So far I love it! However I am experiencing frustration when trying to e-mail a picture. I have taken a few pictures, and when I try to e-mail them sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. Today I tried to e-mail several pictures unsucessfully. I am e-mailing from a gmail account, and after I select the picture and gmail icon, I can enter an e-mail address to send it to, and I can select "send". Then, when I go into my gmail account on my phone, it says "sending", but they will not send it. I have tried both on Wi-Fi and 4g. Any suggestions? Thanks!
 
Try going into Settings/Application manager and tap All at the top right. Now scroll down to the Gmail app listing and select it. Clear cache and clear data. See if this helps getting the uploads going for you.
