Earbuds with in-line controls (mic & volume)

Been looking everywhere to try to find earbuds that will work with this phone. Haven't found any where all the buttons work. I want to be able to control the music player without taking my phone out of its holster/case. I want to be able to pause music, skip to next song, and also control the volume via the headset. Of course, being able to take phone calls is important too, so a microphone would be needed--though I can live without this, if necessary. I really want the music player functions to work most of all.

The only ones that seem to do that for Android phones, and specifically for the LG Optimus F6, are bluetooth sets. I'd prefer (for too many reasons to mention) a plain old wired headset.

Anyone know of one that works? If not, and bluetooth is really the only solution, then please, could you recommend a set that works well and sounds good? Thanks.

I used many wired earbuds with a mic and controls they all seemed to work for they are universal. I usually used j lab and scullcandy although I recommend j lab for they are durable. And even though scullcandy are good quality sound wise they are complete crap, break within first few months. Back to the topic yes the mic works and I am able to pause and skip tracks as well as answer calls without having to take out my phone.

I've cheated and use a bluetooth adaptor which has the controls and mic in, along with the buttons to do all of that.

To be fair, you do take a hit when it comes to music playback.. if you're an audiofile and want to hear everything.. but for general m usic and audiobooks/speach it sounds great

I've got a sony mw600, but i'm sure newer and shinier ones are available. And you can plug in whatever headphones you like to it.
