Earpiece dented

Idk if anyone else's is but my chrome earpiece has a small circle like dent around one of the holes. I have had the phone for a few days now but just now noticed it. Is there anyway to get a replacement piece for it? I know it seems ridiculous but it just really annoys me seeing it. Also I know it's been said a lot but my ink looking stuff on my black screen is a lot worse than my friends. I know they all most likely have that problem but I didn't know if I should get it replaced or not. Thanks

So nobody knows where to get another speaker grill for the front.? And how do u replace it........... I think my daughter bit it and I'm so pissed lol

I believe you are in the wrong forum. There are no grills on the front of the Galaxy s3.;)

 are we looking at the front of the phone just above the words "SAMSUNG". I understand what the OP is describing.

I could see how that would get bent if a toddler or a pet decided to naw on that section as a chew toy.

If you are not sure if it was there when you bought it maybe bring it back for an exchange.

Yeah that's what I mean. I the part right above Samsung. I'm sure she did it because I never noticed it before so I don't want to return it for that small issue but I would like to fix it myself if it's possible. But I can't find that part online anywhere and not sure how to remove it

I haven't worked/opened up this phone in particular. On past phones where I had replace LCD screens, etc.

The trick is figuring out how to separate/split the phone apart. I have specialized tools that aid in separating the case without gouging the delicate plastic border frame. Then you have to carefully disconnect a few data cable ribbons from the PCB board.

That is just a high level break down on what's involved. After you get past that part you be surprised on how loose these pieces are just held together like your volume control buttons and that ear piece you are describing.

Gaining access is the tricky part and it's the proper way to replace that part. It's not a quick 10 second task of prying off that piece and popping a new piece. These parts are really fragile and easy to break. This could easily turn a minor costemtic annyonce into a major hardware issue.

Weigh the risks before you decide to proceed further.
