Earpiece Speaker Buzzing

Has anyone else had their ear piece make buzzing and crackling noises when the person on the other ends speaks? It's really annoying being this happened with my G3 as well and I had to go back to T-Mobile multiple times before someone believed me and exchanged it for a new one.

I've messed with a bunch of settings: turned on/off noise suppression, voice clarity, and VoLTE. Nothing helped. All of these features worked great on my V10 so I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue. Any settings I could be missing?

Also, my speaker doesn't seem very loud turned all the way up with speaker phone use. The general consensus seems to be the V20 speaker is a lot louder than the V10, but my V10 speaker phone was A LOT better. I also wonder if this is a hardware issue. Ugh. Everything else on the phone is amazing and its easily the best phone I've ever had.

if it doesn't get loud and the issue keeps re-appearing I have to say it sounds like you have a bad device.

It might could be fixed but if you just got it I would return it and expect a swap out.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on it this next week. I still have ten days to return it. I'm always extra sensitive in my initial return period. That being said:

Everything seems fine today when talking to my wife. The speakerphone was really loud and the ear piece sounded great (with all of the enhancements turned on). My wife thought my V20 sounded a lot better than my V10 when talking to her on her car's bluetooth.

Note to self: don't test the sound quality of your new phone by calling your parents. LOL (I think there is something wrong with their landline). So most likely an overreaction on my part in the initial posting.

So one thing to keep in mind - or somethng that still catches me off guard.

This is the first mobile I've used that has the new HD voice over LTE capable. There's VOLTE - which alot of mobiles can do - but then there is HD VOLTE. Not sure what causes it to engage, vs not. But when you end up talking to someone else that has the ability (often another mobile with similar capability) then the sound it noticeably different.

Calling the wifey on her Iphone - very very clean, clear, fuller spectrum sound etc. She puts on the BT on the car - it drops significantly.

calling work - we have a full VOIP setup here - again clean , clean full spectrum etc. It's impressive.
