Help Easily stream media to non Samsung TVs/sources?

Love how easy it is to send media to my Samsung TV via my WiFi network. I may be shopping around for a new AV receiver soon, and am wondering if it'd be just as easy to send media to a networked/DLNA enabled receiver.

If I had multiple networked devices, would the phone ask me where to output the stream when I hit the share button while viewing a video etc?

Anyone have any experience?

I have an XBMC hosted on a PC connected to my none DLNA TV and that receives content very well.

Although I have no experience with multiple devices, I have noticed the icon I use to share has a "1" on it. I assume that is the count of devices that are DLNA enabled.

Odog, did you have to buy some kind of wifi adapter for your tv?

Does it have to be a Samsung adapter or are there decent and cheaper 3rd party one available?

It is an old thread. Not sure if OP is still following it or not. Most Samsung TV has DLNA so you don't need anything to stream media from Note II. You cannot make it mirror your phone, but you could stream movies or pictures to the TV. It doesn't seem to work for HD movies as it will buffer every 5 seconds or so, or it could just be my Wifi network is slow.

If you want better performance or mirror the phone screen to any TV, you will need to buy a Samsung AllShare Cast Dongle. It is $99 retail and it connects to HDMI input of any TV. There is a thread on this forum reviewing it.
