A few days ago I found and installed Easy Spirit Level. The app works very well and seems ideal for the few times I will need to use it. However I have discovered that although the app itself is small, there is something in it which is causing large amounts of data to be put in the cache. After I had used it for just a few minutes I discovered that the available memory on my HTC Desire had dropped by 4 MB, and most of this was in the cache which I then cleared. I have just tried the app again for about a minute and then found that there was already 500 kB of data in the cache.
Anybody else using this app? Anybody else noticed this "characteristic"? What on earth is this app doing to take up so much memory? Any solution or suggestions for alternative apps?
