Hello All....I am a new user to this forum and would appreciate any help you could give me regarding this matter. OK, here is the deal. I already know VERIZON DOES NOT LIKE THIS APPLICATION because it will and does cut into their already heftily inflated bottom line but this is my situation. I purchased this from the Original Developer back when I got my original Droid X. As we all know......stuff happens. The developer sold his application to a company, Verizon got wind of it and banned it from THEIR MARKET, etc. I have had to switch phones a couple times since the original Droid X and yes, I had backup of my data offline.
My question is this. I went to the new licensee of the product to give them my original Google checkout info and they sent me a link to the download site. Now I am running two computers and a Droid X2 and I had downloaded BOTH the easytether_v64.msi file and the easytether_v86.msi file and saved it on my android. I still have the files thanks to LOOKOUT PREMIUM (I would highly recommend this to anyone). Thing is, these are the files to install on the COMPUTERS, not the Android and I wondered now that I had to reset the X2 back to factory default where I can get my Android copy now that Verizon has shut it down? By the way, Verizon won't help me with this
LOL
Thanks
