Help Easy Tether won't connect to Gmail and Facebook?

I'm using Easy Tether right now to post this, yet it will not connect to Facebook, or Gmail and Google Voice, PicasaWeb, or other Google products, aside from Gqueues.

If I connect this laptop through any wireless connection (my home network or multiple public wifi hotspots) it has no problems seeing those sites.

Ideas?
 
It seems most "rootless" tether apps require to you purchase a full version to access https sites after a certain point.
 
You even don't need to use these tethering applications because the phone supports (USB) already!
search
samsung kies application
download and install
change phone USB to Samsung studio (debugging is NOT required)
setup dialup networking
use samsung mobile modem
dial *99#
and enjoy
BTW, I am new here, but I have several android devices.
 
i found out about easy tether, but to my disappointment certain sites are blocked.

one way around this for FACEBOOK.COM IS TO GO TO GOOGLE "facebook Mobile", TYPE IN FACEBOOK MOBILE, CLICK home page link, sign in, refresh page, then go to the address bar and change the -> M.facebook.com.. www.facebook... it works for me on W/vista.

change the one M. to WWW.
