Root EasyTether not on the Market??

I installed a new kernel on my phone last night and i wiped data/cache now when i go to search for easytether on the market I can;t find it.....any tips did this get removed from the market? I have done some searching around and can;t find an answer

verizon is now blocking all tethering apps on the market. at least on phones that are on their network. Thank Big Red!!!

damnit! i just paid 10$ for it like 2 weeks ago.... and I had it on my phone until last night.

you should still have it on your phone, they are just blocking the app from the marketplace

you might e-mail the developer and see if he can send you the apk. but you might have just waisted 10 bucks cause Verizon is cracking down on unauthorized tethering.....

I wiped data and cache when i installed the kernel.....that erases all of th apps doesn't it? I am having bigger issues i can't even get my sd card to mount to my computer to see whats on it.....should have just left EVERYTHINGGGG alone lol

Got any Nandroid backups with it installed? Pull it from those backups.

Sadly i do not have any backups on my phone, can anyone upload the pro .apk? It should work if I install it since I have bought it with my google account right?

I would email the developer explaining your problem. You can also show the transaction number showing that you paid for the app. I am sure he will work with you as this is not doubt a problem.

Depending on how the licensing works you may not not be able to use the paid app by downloading the apk from someone else. Can't say for sure, but try the developer most are pretty cool to work with in my experience.

Also always make a back up of your current ROM before flashing anything (not trying to be condescending, just posting it for any others who happen upon this thread).

+1 ^^^ this. And yes, I heard a couple of weeks ago that VZW was blocking all the tethering apps, which I understand, since tethering without paying for it is a breach of their contract. Obviously as well, the easy availability of tethering apps on the market for just anyone to use has probably caused a huge spike in abuse, which will ultimately ruin it for all.

Also I doubt it would be allowed on this site nor any other for someone to post an .apk of a paid version of an app.

Not sure how EasyTether works, but if you just have to enter a serial like with Titanium and LauncherPro, it would be fine to upload cause he'd need to have a legit serial. Though it doesn't sound like that's the case.

Either way, why not just use Barnacle? So much better.

Thank God i had Wireless Tether backed up to to Titanium Backup.
