ebay app and amazon app

Hello Im currently in costa Rica, and when i try to install both those applications, I get that they are not available to my carrier, (my carrier is ICE) by any chance is there a way to install it ? or if I get the APK can I install it like that ???
what do you recommended ?
same happened to me with Skype, but managed to install it with the .apk

You can try on other appstores. Slideme may have it and I think they are available outside of the US. If you can procure the .apk then you should be able to sideload it like any other app.
