Help eBay Mobile App

I do not understand "mobile apps," but that is no surprise since I am new to "smart phones." Tried to log into my eBay account this afternoon using my LG Motion 4G phone, but I was unable to log in. Saw something on the site about a free "mobile app." Why would I need any sort of app to log into my account? I do it directly from my laptop with no problem. Why is the phone different?

You don't "need" the mobile app, it just helps to look at it instead of trying to look at the bay with the mobile browser (which ever one you have chosen to use). Basically, it brings eBay to your phone in a nice easy to use and view app. Do you use the Facebook app? It's similar to that.

I am not able to sign in. I tap on the google search bar at the top of the phone, and then I search for ebay.com and try to sign in with my user name and my password, but it does not go through. I keep trying over and over again, but the fields just come back with nothing in them, and I do not get connected to My ebay where I have my watched items. What am I doing wrong, please?

Like I said, you don't need the app, but it makes it a whole lot easier. Download it and try it. It's a lot better than using the web browser of your choice.
