Root Eclipse rom by nitro

It seems like battery drain is faster than BO... I went down 1% while typing this post. It doesn't seem drastic enough for me to stop using it for now. I like the snappiness for sure.

Popcorn is not undervolted, but does have the option to do so manually. Blitz is pre undervolted along with the added option in 3.0 further undervolt manually.

No you have to use something like, setcpu, incredicontrol or no frills those should get the job done.

I'm using incredicontrol.

I've got SetCPU, so what should I change to mirror the settings of BO? Any idea?

Thx Hollywood.

@ IMU- Same here. But GoSMS sends images/sounds, etc different than the stock app. It compresses the image and I believe sends through the GO servers as data, rather than an MMS. It's one of the main issues I have with using the app... i don't like my images being routed through a server in China, only to be received as a lesser-quality image.

Yep, that explains it. I found that GoSMS issue when I was working on CM9 for the D2... no one could send/receive MMS, but I could and I was using that app. After I tore the app apart and did traceroutes, I found it was sending through their servers in Guangzhou. Near as I can tell, they're not on a shared server, which is good, but there's still something that makes me uneasy to know they're touching images. I could see for the GO-MMS feature, because it is meant for Go users to share easier, but not when I choose normal MMS.

Has anyone tried Bluetooth I am having problems with the phone dialer when Bluetooth is enabled

I flashed it this morning with the Blitzkrieg kernel and had the same issue; the phone would lag horribly when using the dialer while I had my Bluetooth on and enabled. As soon as I turned Bluetooth off, the dialer worked fine. Wifi likewise wouldn't work with Blitz; it just said "error" beside the toggle in Settings.

I did a data wipe, wiped dalvik and battle stats, then reflashed with Popcorn kernel to see if the kernel wasn't agreeing with the ROM. With Popcorn, the Bluetooth would connect, but was static-y and useless (assuming this had to do with it being V5 based, but I'm unsure about that). Wifi worked flawlessly with Popcorn.

I never tested MMS because the Bluetooth issue is a deal breaker for me; I suffered through BO 2.0 with no Bluetooth because I hate the stock ROM. Now that I have BT working, I'm not going back, lol.

Here's hoping Nitro can work these issues out, as I love the layout, look and feel of Eclipse. I know it will be smoking hot when he finishes it :-)

Back on Brokenout 3.0 until B

Bluetooth update:

I reflashed Eclipse02 with the newly zipped Blitzkrieg kernel (thanks to MT) and wifi works fine now. The BT issue still exists, extreme lag when using the dialer with BT enabled.

There is a work around, however. If you wait until the call connects to enable BT and pair your headset, it will connect and work without issue. As long as you remember to then the BT toggle off after your call, you'll be good to go.

For the moment, it appears the issue is between the dialer and BT. Hopefully the issue will be sorted soon

Has anyone tried Voltage Control? I used to use it on my Samsung Fascinate, not sure if it is Galaxy S specific or not, but it was one of the best ones I'd used. I'm planning on keeping my phone stock until ICS official comes out so I can't try it.
