Posted just in case some members are not aware of the following facts.
Fast charging is far more effective when the phone is off, or at least the screen is off.
Personally, I have used MacroDroid create a button widget that automatically shuts off, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sync and then shuts the phone. I press this button when connecting to the Fast charger. The charging speeds are then really awesome.
