Help ELIMINATE "Google Text-to-speech engine" in "Maps"

Hi all, mine is a Galaxy S3-Neo

I try and try and try... to replace the voice of the "Google Text-to-speech engine" with another voice when running Maps, with zero results; I've tried the following:

++ In "Settings / Controls / Language and input / Text-to-speech options / Preferred TTS engine" I choose "Sansung Text-to-speech engine", but the change does not act

++ I try the same with the IVONA App (installed by my own), with the same result: none

++ In "Settings / General / Application manager / Google Text-to-speech engine" I have "Forced stop" and even "Disable", and incomprehensibly the same "disabled" voice is still speaking in Maps

Could somebody help me killing that flashy voice?

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all of you -

Thanks; that would explain it...
And, in that case I guess there's nothing one could do to stop that voice, agree?

This is something I first noticed about 3 or 4 updates back in Maps and it really ticks me off. I paid for a CereProc TTS Voice because I liked how it sounds. The main thing I use TTS for is voice directions in Maps. Now Google is forcing me to listen to what they think I should. Maybe they are joining Apple on the dark side and taking away choices.
