Before upgrading to ICS, I would use the messaging app to access all the email. If I recall correctly, you would go to that, and then it would show all of your accounts and you could choose one of those. I see that is gone so is there something close to it? I guess I can click on the email app now and it brings me to whichever account I had open last, and I can just choose which account I want from there (that seems like the same number of steps as before). But one thing that was nice before was that the exchange email account had that blue icon so I could tell by looking at the notification bar if I had mail from that account or it it was from my personal accounts. Is there anyway to change that icon so they aren't all the same?

Email accounts and icons in ICS

I actually just figured out something that works similar to the old messaging app. I used that email widget and placed one for the inbox of each email account on my home screen. Then I combined all of them into one folder. So I just click on that folder, it pops up all 5 of my email accounts, and then I just click on the one I want. That part works the same as the old app, but it still would be nice to have a different icon up in the notification bar for the exchange account than the other ones.

There is a Email accounts widget that lets you view all of your email combined in one mail box, it is right next to the email widget in the widget tray. i added that widget and now with one click i get a combined list of all my email.

Everytime I attempt to put the email widget on one of my screens (homescreen, etc), I get an error message saying "you have not set up any email accounts yet"....even though I have Yahoo and GMail installed?
What's up with that?
Yeah I'm not looking for the combined, but good to point that out to everyone else. It works the way I did it with the folders so I can go directly into an inbox so really the only that would be nice would be to have a different icon in the notification bar. Would be nice to have color icons too but that is probably best for a different thread.
Use the email widget on your home page. Pick an account you use most. Look to the left of the refresh arrows circle. There is a small triangle in the corner of the account name box. Touch that and you can switch to a different account. still not the same or as simple as before. Why must we frack everything up when we upgrade an OS .... why?
